This is a RARE & BEAUTIFUL Estate Fresh tin advertising sign from a local Estate home.  It is a 🔥FANTASTIC CONDITION ORIGINAL ANTIQUE GRAPE NUTS TIN ADVERTISING SIGN FROM THE EARLY 1900's!!🔥  Rare, and very charming from a golden age of advertising.  This piece advertises Grape-Nuts, created in 1897 by Charles W. Post; the sign is most likely from the 1910s.  The widow of the man that owned it was home the day I went to pick it up.   This lovely woman said his dad found it at a farm sale.  He bought the old sign back in the late 50's.  After his dad passed, his young wife and dads son took it in, and they both just loved it.  It had been kept in that family for many years.   The sign is 20"x30" tall and has some very light surface marks which you can see in the close-up detail photographs I took. The dog and girls face are in particularly good condition for something of this age. There was an original old wire attached to the original mounting holes on the sides of the ‘self-framed’ area.  She told me the wire broke one day and fell, and it just never could get back on the wall.  I will put a new wire on the frame so all anyone will need to do when you get it is just hang it.  The frame is raised , so it sits about an inch out from the wall.  You can see the slight bend on the top corner part of the "frame" when it fell, but which will probably straighten should one wish to try.   A couple small nicks in the corners.  The Sign will be packaged extremely well to prevent any shipping damage.    This rare piece comes in SUPER nice condition as described above and Pictured.  This piece is 30" tall x 20" wide to the edge of the "self framed" Tin.   It’s a beauty and I doubt one could ever find a nicer one!!  It comes just as you see it in my photos.
