1893 Chicago World’s Fair – Chisholm Bros. Photographic View Album, Accordion Plates Intact

Original photographic souvenir album published by Chisholm Bros., Portland, Maine, for the World’s Columbian Exposition, Chicago, 1893.

Includes a complete accordion-fold panorama of mounted photographic plates showing the principal buildings and grounds of the Fair—Administration Building, Machinery Hall, Manufactures and Liberal Arts, the Lagoon, Midway scenes, and more.

All photographic plates are present and clean, beginning as the front pastedown and folding through to the descriptive leaf attached to the rear board. small tear on one plate pictured and light separation between last two plates. The album has separated at the final plate, leaving the front and back covers detached, a common structural issue for this format.

Covers show wear; interior plates are bright and well preserved. A complete example of one of the most sought-after photographic souvenirs of the 1893 World’s Fair.
