This is a 1965 Southern State University in Magnolia, Arkansas Mulerider Yearbook. The term "Mulerider" comes from the school's mascot, a Mule named "Optimaggie," who is also featured within these pages. This book offers a rare glimpse into the lives of student scholars in a small Southern state college in the mid 1960's. It is a unique cultural and historical artifact that would be an aid to genealogical researchers and sociologists alike. This book provides a rare glimpse into a largely overlooked demographic during the turbulent 60's in America.  

This 1965 Yearbook has some yellowing at the edge of pages due to age. There is more yellowing due to age on the book's light cover. There is no writing or signatures within the book. I have not found any creased pages or stains. This came from a smoke free home. It is in good, used condition considering its age (60 years). 

The book's dimensions are 12" tall x 8 3/4" wide x 1" thick.
