Satin silver finish – medium-hard, annealed wire

This is an annealed steel wire that offers an excellent balance of strength and workability. It is much stiffer and more springy than aluminium, so your models, jewellery, artwork, or plant supports won’t easily bend out of shape by accident.

Because it is hardened and springy, shaping it by hand or with scissors isn’t ideal — proper pliers or wire tools will give the best results. The photo shows how the wire behaves when bent by hand, demonstrating its resilience and spring-back.

Applications:

Perfect for floristry, jewellery making, craft work, bonsai training, armatures, and other structural art projects where wire strength and shape retention are important. Its smaller diameter yet higher strength compared to aluminium makes it ideal where neatness and rigidity matter.

Additional information:

Wire is annealed, meaning it has been heat-treated to improve formability while maintaining strength.

When untied, coils relax to a gently curved, semi-straight form.

Other diameters are available in the same material.
