For sale is this gorgeous 1956 Tissot Visodate. This is an amazing example of an early Visodate model, with a highly desirable waffle texture dial. A cool feature with this early model Visodate is the ‘roulette’ date wheel: even numbers are red, and odd numbers are black.

Case: Stainless steel case is in great condition. Edges are still sharp and unpolished. Few minor consmetic scratches consistent with age.

Case back: Unpolished screw down case back. Has an inscription ‘J.H.J Willis Woolworths 1936-1957’

Dial: The original waffle pattern dial is what makes this watch a standout. The photos don’t do justice to how amazing the waffle pattern dial really is. The dial has aged a warm, caramel colour that shows different shades in different lighting conditions. The golden hour markers add to the warm hue and the writing is crisp and legible.

Hands: The watch has the original tissot hands.

Crown: The original unsigned crown is in good condition.

Crystal: The crystal is unmarked and it great condition.

Movement: The watch retains the original tissot 27b 621, manual wind movement. Service history is unknown, but the watch has been recently regulated by myself and is running accurately with strong amplitude as shown in the timegrapher photo.

Band: The watch comes brown leather strap.
