THIS IS SPECIAL: For sale is an original stock box of Vintage Scotch Sound Recording Tape No. 111 A6 1/4" x 600'. This stock container came originally with 12 reels. It currently contains just 11. This is the A6 version (600 Feet). The retail box is missing one of its flaps but it displays flat without revealing such with the correct orienting of the label. None of the reels or boxes are written on. Not a jot. Not a tittle. We tested three. Pristine silence. These were never recorded on. Surprisingly, the sticky-tape at leader-end was still sticky. One of the reel boxes has a crunched corner which perfectly matches the corner of the box that was also crunched (see photos). Nice to know that FedEx and UPS sucked as badly 60 years ago as they do today. Just sayin', we know by the matching crunched that it is the original box to these reels. For the Scotch fan of this mainstay of recording mediums, who wants to lay down a master on what used to be Industry standard for over 30 years, this is about as good as it gets. Or...just display them proudly on the shelf. To say this offering is rare is recklessly understating the opportunity to own them.
