1937 receipt down payment on Nobel Hotel HARVARD, Illinois.  The Ayer hotel was built in 1856.  During the Civil War sick and injured soldiers would stay in the hotel for free. In 1925 the hotel was renamed the Nobel Hotel.  In 1937 it became the Hub hotel. This is the receipt for the down payment from P G Allen to Rex N. Jacob.  Dated April 30, 1937.  The hotel was destroyed by fire in 1960.
