The Reichspfennig (German: Reichspfennig) was the official currency of Germany from 1924 to 1948, equal to 1/100 of a Reichsmark. It also served as the currency of the territories occupied by German troops from 1940 to 1945, equal to 1/100 of an occupation Reichsmark. Within Germany, the Reichspfennig circulated alongside the Rentenpfennig, introduced in 1923, with which it had an exchange rate of 1:1.
