This is a nice example of original arts and crafts work by; Murrle Bennett & Co. "Murrle Bennett & Co. specialized in Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts style jewelry, a fusion of German Jugendstil (the German term for Art Nouveau) with British designs". This brooch is crafted from 15K yellow gold. It features a lovely cabochon of natural earth mined turquoise. The turquoise is a lovely teal, green and blue in color, it is bezel set. The design of the brooch just screams out for the Aesthetic movement. It features lovely twisted lines and gold balls. The bottom of the brooch features a figure 8 design that is adorned with a fresh water pearl in the center. The brooch is hallmarked with the company hallmark as well as 15CT.
