Set of 12 Vintage Shiny Brite Blown Glass Unsilvered Lantern Ornaments in original Uncle Sam & Santa Shiny Brite box. 

Each ornament is approximately 2 1/4" long x 1 1/2" wide.  Made in the United States; the metal caps are stamped "Shiny Brite Made in U.S.A."

There are four color combinations, with three ornaments in each combination.
  • Hot pink mica tops have green painted stripes
  • Dark yellow mica tops also have green stripes  
  • 3 ornaments have white mica tops with pink stripes
  • 3 ornaments have white mica tops with magenta stripes
  • Bottoms are clear glass and all mica stripes are white

For some reason, the green painted stripes have faded the most, and my photos make all of the colors look a bit darker than they actually are.  There is some mica loss, which is to be expected, but no cracks, breaks or other such issues.  The bits of mica you see on the bottoms are on the inside of the ornaments.

This particular box was used from 1946 through 1954. The box itself is in good structural condition but the lid has issues, as you can see in the phtos.  The front rim of the lid appears as if a piece is torn off but it is folded back, not torn and missing.
