Frank Godwin
~ CONNIE ~
1929-1930

Publication: 1977, US, Hyperion Press

A complete compilation of Connie
Kurridge's first year in US dailies, 1929-1930.

Connie is adventurous young flapper, who over comes all problems with her brains, a little help with certain boyfriends, and her two Great Danes - Deva & Gytha. She faces gangsters, South American rebels, lost treasure, and the worst of all, a world wide trip with a group of American tourists.
Godwin fills the strip with puns, slapstick and parody. Connie is always lovely as she fills the pages with fashions of the '20s.
