Rare Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games Original Poster - Lynda Benglis

Dimensions: 24" x 36"

I inherited multiple Olympic prints, and this original print is in excellent condition. It was in storage for decades and has never been hung, or put on display.

Lynda Benglis is one of only 15 nationally known artists commissioned by The Olympic Committee for the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California.

As described by the Los Angeles Olympics Organizing Committee in 1982:

New York artist Lynda Benglis derives her imagery from the Olympic Rings in an abstracton which symbolizes not only the Olympic Games, but also the international character of the movement. By alternating as if viewed from close-up or as if seen from a distant vantage point, the image depicts the individual as well as the collective and cooperative spirit of the Games. The colors and details are reminiscent of not only of Greece, where the Games began, but also of the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia.
