Bat Benefits
This maple will be wood that displayed a minor flaw during the production process. Because of that minor flaw, Louisville Slugger allows us to sell the bats at a lower cost which is a big bonus for the customers! As well, this bat is cut in the 271 turn which is used all over by contact and power hitters. The bat has a really manageable barrel and long taper from the barrel to the handle. The knob on the bat is super cool as it features a really large flare to it that is similar to the knobs of a lot of pro hitters!

Reviews
Pros: Feels balanced and easy to swing. Like the clean feel to the bat.
Cons: Handle is a little thicker than my last model.
Pros: I have two additional series 3 Louisville Slugger maple bats. For the price, these series 3 maple bats are adequate. I'm always suspect of this quality maple's durability, but I don't generate the bat speed that can fracture maple. I removed the finish from the bat as soon as I removed it from the box. With some grip tape, this bat will be good to go. The grip feels really good, and the bat has a head heavy feel.
Cons: The balance is more head heavy than I prefer, and the finish looks too glossy. A little medium grit sandpaper removed the glossy finish.
Pros: I never know if I will like a new bat until I hit a few hundred baseballs from my tee or at the batting cages. The feel of this H&B bat is light and balanced. I wrapped Lizard Skin bat tape to the handle to enhance the feel. The maple seems to generate good pop in the ball...?????
Cons: I don't like the protective finish that coats new baseball bats. I sanded the finish from the wood down the original wood. The bat looks and feels better.
