This vintage sewing basket has a unique design. Someone took a sturdy wicker basket and lined it with cloth, including two pockets. They trimmed the inside with brown rickrack and the outside with a sewing tape measure. They then decorated the outside with a variety of sewing notions and spools of thread cut in half and another ring of rickrack. It was completed with the attachment of a simple triangle-shaped pin cushion. It is 9 inches in diameter and 6.5 inches tall. It is both useful and a great way to celebrate the sewing hobby in a whimsical way.

The basket is in good used condition. There are loose threads and some missing notions, and the basket is worn in some places. There are several spots with colored tape that is very worn. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be just tape or if there are more missing notions.
