Pre-owned vintage, The Settlers of Catan Board Game, 1996 Mayfair 2nd Edition in English.  The Second Edition of The Settlers of Catan was also released un 1996 shortly after the First Edition due to the game's popularity. 

Key characteristics of the 1996 Second Edition include:

The box, hexes, and cards maintained a design identical to the first edition. 

Changes included a different range of colored playing pieces (commonly Black, White, Purple, and Orange) and an expanded rule set with sections for up to 8 players and suggested board configurations.

Players collect resources (wool, grain, lumber, brick, and ore) to build roads, settlements, and cities on the island of Catan.  The goal is to

The goal is to gain victory points by building roads, settlements, and cities, with the first player to reach a set number of victory points winning the game. 

This item has been inventoried and is complete.  The game components are in good shape showing signs of age.  The game box top is attached on all four corners but shows wear on all sides.  Please review the pictures.
