FOR  SALE,

                              Vintage Late 1940's---early 1950's, original,  RAF / Navy Aircraft (Fighters ) (UK ) Pitot Static systems  (airspeed ,heights measuring for c/pit instrumentation. ) pitot head assy. New Old stock, this unit is in very good condition, with no damage or distortions.

Head is made of steel fitted with brass piping run offs for the air pressure and static height pressures. Also has elect heating coils inside barrel and connecting cable.    Unit weighs approx  1lb. This pitot head would have been fitted to:- Vampires/Meteors/Sea Hawks, etc, poss. some prop. types too.  Part of my aircraft preservation collection not needed any longer,----- reducing and disposing.   This unit is in really good, new old stock condition and is sold as display item only (and NOT for any aircraft use,)  For that, you would have to follow modern C.A.A. rules/standards for servicing to return to flight.)   

 Would expect winners to pay purchase price, /postage within a week of  auction / "Buy-it-Now" end.                

Will be sent via  EVRI which I've used for years now. Also use UK Royal mail 2nd class parcels  At cost of   Purchasers living in outlandish islands or area's can cost more in postage/ freight costs, so ideally, don't pay me till I've sent you the modified invoice, if you live in these area's.

This "Buy-It-Now"  is for UK only.      

 No returns accepted,  selling off aviation collection that I will now not use, ( too old ) quite a lot of ejection seat (early ) stuff to go, useful to some, so might be worth watching my up-coming listings. 

I always provide combined postage if needed. So please let me know if you are intending to have multiple purchases and only pay for them , after I've sent you the amended ( postage costs ) invoice.

Purchasers, please now note that e-Bay have changed their systems for private sellers.   Besides  various sales prices limitations, postage is taken over for most of our small items that they call:-    " Simple Delivery." ( This is becoming e-Bay mandatory, but seems to be that already ) I personally am rather confused by it all, but will do my best to get best postage rates correct for you ( If I can ).  Because of mandatory tracking also now ( e-Bay ) postal prices are increased,-----( as far as I can tell yet ). Its now very difficult for me to predict what e-Bay will quote, as they organise postage and send me label via e-mail in a day or so, so if postage seems wrong to you,  I will always do me best for my sales customers, once I realise, which will prob be after sale.    Will keep you informed by messaging service as we go in that respect.
