A rare WWI "CAMP SHERMAN U. S.A." purple felt pennant with red edging and tassels is available for sale. It has an impressive illustration of the Camp Sherman symbol of Two Crossed Rifles. The stitching is still complete and secure on all the letters, the edging and the rifles. The felt is still in sturdy condition.

An elderly Ohio man once told me about a military camp in Ohio that he said was all built of local cedar. He said that when they were done with it they burned all of the buildings. It's possible that he was describing Camp Sherman.
