For sale is this unusual and unique antique smoking pipe with a handcwrought metal filigree style hinged cap.  The cap is marked, "J. H."  or "I. H.".  It is in excellent working condition.  The bowl is carved meerschaum that has a nice petina.  The shank is made of a type of tree branch that was drilled whole giving the pipe a very nice effect.  This piece has a hand carved screw tip end that fits the bakelite mouthpiece well.

The connection to the bowl is loose as shown.
