The new Gibson SG Modern incorporates a number of modern, state-of-the-art specifications that Gibson players have benefited from in recent years. It goes beyond the boundaries of a solid guitar with classical design roots, and is a new innovation that is somewhere between an SG and a Les Paul.

The body, which is shaped like the classic SG of yesteryear, has an AA maple top and mahogany back, just like the Les Paul. This material composition is well-known for its excellent acoustic properties and sustain. The 24-fret compound radius fingerboard made of ebony and the asymmetrical slim taper neck promise players smooth fingering all the way to the highest frets.

The two calibrated Burstbucker Pro Alnico V humbucking pickups are powerful and the push-pull control allows you to instantly switch from humbucker sound to single-coil P90 sound. Both sounds have contributed to the birth and development of music in all genres for many generations since Gibson invented them. Mother-of-pearl inlays, Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, and clear top hat knobs contribute to further enhancing the guitar's status.
