A superb antique lap desk / writing desk with a beautiful Art Nouveau top, velvet lining and decorative top.

Top compartment opens down and two compartments that open on the bottom with an additional compartment for the ink well. (No contents or bottles included).

A very rare and exceptional example of an early lap desk. This was from the days where this was a necessity for everyone to have to keep writing supplies in.

Measures 30.6cm wide x 21cm deep x 10cm high

Great condition for its age, some general surface wear as expected but unfortunately doesn't have the original key or lock but closes fine. Beautiful velvet interior which remains remarkably clean, just some surface wear at the catch area.
