Jim Morrison's The New Creatures poetry book. This is Jim's second self published 
book and just like his other work of poetry The Lords Notes on Vision, that I have 
listed now, it was also released in 1969. Jim also printed 100 of these books and 
they are obviously highly coveted by not just Jim Morrison and The Doors collectors, 
but also sought out by rare book collectors and it’s beautifully signed by Jim!!

Jim dedicated the book to Pamela.

Investment grade quality and rarity!! Authentic Jim Morrison signatures are incredibly 
hard to come by, a New Creatures book authentically signed by Jim with impeccable 
provenance.... Is virtually impossible to find.

What makes this The New Creatures poetry even more special is he signed (see images) 
it for the Canadian music journalist he personally gave it to. I've only seen 8 authentic 
signed copies of this book and this is the 8th. Authentic Jim Morrison signatures are 
impossibly hard to come by. 


This The New Creatures poetry book and The Lords Notes on Vision poetry portfolio and
the An American Prayer book that I also have listed at the moment, were personally given 
by Jim to a Canadian music journalist at The Doors office on Santa Monica Boulevard in 
Los Angeles. I will email a copy of an article the journalist wrote after Jim's passing, where 
he mentions Jim giving him the portfolio and book..It's especially nice to have it documented, 
by the person that Jim gave it to.

I will also include a copy of a book that the journalist was working on and came out after his 
passing, in it he talks about his visit with Jim at The Doors office.

This comes with a PSA/ DNA Letter of Authenticity. Certification Number AN04762 (see 
image).

What else can be said that hasn't been said about Jim Morrison. He will always be looked 
upon as if the best lead singer / front man / performer in the history of rock and roll music. 
His stage presence was awe inspiring, you could not help but take notice of him. The only 
other performer that I could compare him to presence wise, was Elvis Presley who I saw 
in 1972 at Madison Square Garden here in NYC. A Doors concert was not just a concert, it 
was an event, he took the audience with him along for the ride with him..I know I witnessed 
it.
 
This bound 88 page book with a printing limited to a mere 100 books measures 9" X 6" and 
was printed by Western Lithographers Los Angeles, like his other two self published poetry 
releases. The book is in Excellent condition with just small very light bends on the corners.

The New Creatures book unsigned is worth $7,500, especially in this condition, I've seen a 
two other unsigned books in questionable condition sell for over $5,000 and that was several 
years ago.

I don't come across Jim signatures that often, this is the 9th authentic one I've had in my 40
plus years of collecting and it's a beauty.
