This is the newest Directv receiver which features Signal Saver and will switch signal to streaming using your WIFI when there is an outage.

During outages, or rain, box will automatically switch to the internet.  Box needs to be connected to your internet using WIFI.  This feature allows you to have the most reliable backup in case of signal loss.  In addition, these receivers are faster and have updated software.  Great receiver even if you decide not to use the Signal Saver feature.
