808nm 20W Pump Laser Diode w/Fiber for Miyachi ML-7112AH SMARK Marking Machine
This is the 808nm pump laser diode assembly and matching fiber optic cable from a Miyachi ML-7112AH laser marking machine. The last few pictures show the complete machine before it was decommissioned due to shipping damage.
The label on the diode module shows an operating current of 25.1A so this is almost certainly a 20W diode. It includes the shorting relay used to protect the diode from static when not in operation. It will need to be energized or removed before powering up the diode. Also included is a cable with the mating 7 conductor Fischer connector used for the internal circuitry which presumably includes a thermistor for temperature feedback and possibly a photodiode for power feedback. I don't know the pinout and didn't want to cut the intact warranty seal to look inside.
The diode module is attached to a large, fan-cooled heatsink with thermoelectric coolers (TECs) in between which are used to maintain a constant temperature of the diode module. There are 2 TECs wired in series for a nominal operating voltage of 24V. The heatsink has a 24V fan attached.
The included fiber cable is 600um core diameter with SMA connectors on both ends. It is 3m long and protected by a stainless steel outer jacket. The fiber tips are in very good condition and will ship with protective caps.
To use this outside of a compatible Miyachi machine, you'll need a laser diode driver capable of producing 0-30A with a compliance voltage around 2V. You'll also need a TEC temperature controller suitable for the 24V TECs. I'd guess those need a maximum of 6-8A.
