Always use a metal tape measure for absolute accuracy. Do not use fabric tapes.
1. Inside the Recess (Recess Fit)
Best for a sleek, flush, and built-in look with minimal light gaps.
Width: Measure the inside width of the window recess in 3 places (top, middle, bottom). Take the smallest measurement. Important: Deduct 1cm from this width to allow clearance for brackets and smooth operation.
Drop: Measure the inside height/drop in 3 places (left, center, right). Take the smallest measurement.
Ordering: Enter these final measurements into the personalization box.
2. Outside the Recess (Exact Fit)
Best for maximum light blockage, shallow windows, or avoiding internal obstructions.
Width & Drop: Measure the exact total area you want the blind to cover. We recommend extending the measurements beyond the window frame for optimal light control.
What you get: We will manufacture the blind exactly to your provided dimensions. It will also include a beautiful matching pelmet (valance) that is 3cm wider than the blind with angled corners to neatly hide the headrail.
3. Bay Windows Fitment
Angled Bay Windows: Cut a cardboard template (65mm wide) to represent the bracket depth. Place it on your window sill (checking for window handles/vents) and mark where the blinds will meet. Measure between these marks for your order width and deduct 1cm for clearance.
Square / Box Bay Windows: Decide your layout (e.g., one central blind overlapping two side blinds). Use cardboard templates to find the meeting points, measure accurately, and deduct 1cm for smooth fittings
