Carus, AE antoninianus, Roman Imperial 282-283 A.D., Sear-3415, Commemorative, struck after the death of Carus. The obverse shows the radiate head to the right, with the legend, "DIVO CARO PIO ", The reverse show the legend "CONSECRATIO", with an eagle standing, facing, head to the right. Both sides are dark brown in color. The obverse shows a good detail portrait of Carus. The reverse is weaker struck around the eagle's wings, which is somewhat typical.
