Lamium (Dead Nettle) 'White Nancy'

Lamium maculatum

Medium Plug Plant x4

  • Illuminating white blooms – features clusters of pure white flowers that look fresh and clean, especially when planted in a dark, shady corner
  • Dense silver carpet – forms a low, spreading mat of predominantly silver leaves with green edges, acting as a natural weed suppressant under shrubs
  • How to grow – thrives in fertile, moist, well‑drained soil in partial to full shade; water in dry spells and trim after flowering to support fresh growth and neat ground cover
  • Evergreen perennial – RHS H7 hardy, tolerates temperatures below -20°C; retains functional foliage year‑round for dependable structure
  • Healthy plug plants – four well‑rooted medium plugs, ideal for potting on to grow into larger specimens and planting into prepared ground once larger roots are established

Our pictures illustrate a mature plant to inspire you with its full potential given time and the appropriate growing conditions.
The plants you receive will be well-rooted to the specified size purchased and may look different depending on the time of year.
These are plug plants, not potted plants. Plug plants are small starter plants great for saving money but require extra care.
See the growing information below for important plug plant care guidance.

Caring for Plug Plants

Please follow these planting instructions to achieve the best results from your plug plants:

  • – Each plug plant must be potted into its own pot; ideally 7cm or 9cm for small to medium plugs and 1L or 2L for large to extra-large plugs
  • – Ensure the pots have plenty of holes underneath and preferably over two tiers for even better drainage
  • – Fill the pots to just below the rim with a good quality multi-purpose potting compost
  • – Place the plant into the compost but avoid pressing down too much; a little shake helps settle it without air pockets
  • – Water thoroughly immediately after potting, then allow the compost to dry down before watering again. This process encourages faster root growth as the plant seeks out water
  • – Continue watering only when the plant is noticeably drier until you see roots through the drainage holes; your plants are now ready to be planted into large containers or prepared ground if local conditions are suitable

1) The plants are first removed from their plastic pot or cell tray. The roots are then submerged in water and wrapped in paper towel to ensure the plants have water on their journey.

2) After this, the plants are placed into biodegradable bags to retain the moisture and protect the outer packaging.

3) We then tightly roll the plants in a protective cardboard roll before placing them in their boxes for postage.
