In two double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trials, subjects took a BLIS M18 lozenge every evening, after practicing healthy oral hygiene (regular flossing, brushing teeth daily). One trial lasted for 4 weeks; the other for 12. In both trials, the BLIS M18 group reported a healthy inflammatory response when compared to placebo. In another randomized controlled trial, subjects took one lozenge containing BLIS M18 every day before bed for 30 days. Both the BLIS M18 and placebo group practiced healthy oral hygiene (regular flossing, brushing teeth daily).
