A reconditioned engine service is the process of restoring a used or worn engine to a condition where it operates as effectively as a new or near-new engine. This involves dismantling, cleaning, inspecting, replacing, and repairing components to ensure the engine performs reliably. Here’s a full description of what this service typically includes:

1. Engine Disassembly

• Complete Strip Down:     The engine is completely disassembled, removing all internal components such as pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, valves, and bearings.
• Detailed Inspection:     Every part of the engine is inspected for wear, damage, or malfunction. This involves checking for cracks, corrosion, and excessive wear.

2. Cleaning

• Chemical Cleaning :     All engine parts are thoroughly cleaned using specialized equipment to remove oil, carbon deposits, and debris.
• Block and Cylinder Cleaning:     The engine block, cylinder head, and other major components are cleaned to ensure no contamination during reassembly.

3. Machining and Reconditioning (surcharge may apply )

• Cylinder Head Skimming:     If the cylinder head is warped or damaged, it is skimmed or resurfaced to restore flatness.
• Cylinder Reboring :     Worn cylinders are re-bored to ensure the correct fit for pistons. This might also involve honing the cylinders for a smooth surface.
• Crankshaft Grinding :     If the crankshaft journals are worn or damaged, they are reground to restore their surface and clearances where possible.
• Valve Regrinding / Replacing:     Valves and valve seats  are  reconditioned or replaced to ensure proper sealing and performance.

4. Component Replacement

• Piston Replacement or Re-ringing:     Pistons and piston rings are either replaced.
• Bearings Replacement:     Main and connecting rod bearings are replaced to restore engine balance and performance.
• New Seals and Gaskets:     All seals, gaskets, and O-rings are replaced to prevent future oil leaks or pressure losses.
• Timing Belt/Chain Replacement:     The timing belt or chain, along with  tensioners  and pulleys, are replaced to ensure proper engine timing.

NOTE :

Additional surcharge will be applied if any internal or external engine parts are not in serviceable conditions or internal major engineering  repairs will be necessary to complete the engine repair.

This statement explains that if any internal or external engine parts are found to be unserviceable or if significant internal repairs are required to complete the engine repair, an additional surcharge will be applied. Examples of such conditions include:

• Cracked  engine block
• Engine block  reboring
• New liners installing
• Cracked cylinder head
• Snapped or deeply worn crankshaft
• Twisted camshafts or cracked cam carrier

5. Inspection of Key Systems

• Fuel System Check:                 Injectors and fuel pumps are inspected and cleaned or replaced if necessary to ensure proper fuel delivery.
• Oil Pump Inspection:     The oil pump is inspected or replaced to ensure the engine maintains proper lubrication.
• Cooling System Overhaul:      Radiators, thermostats, and water pumps are checked and replaced if needed to prevent overheating.

6. Reassembly

• Precision Reassembly:     All components are carefully reassembled following manufacturer specifications, ensuring proper fit and function.
• Torque Settings and Timing:     Correct torque specifications and timing settings are applied to ensure optimal engine operation.

7. Warranty

The warranty  provide covers  for 12 months  or 12.000 miles, whichever comes first, starting from the date of collection or delivery of the vehicle. However, it only applies to internal engine parts and does not extend to other components of the vehicle.

FOR THE  WARRANTY  INJECTORS , TURBO CHARGER AND DPF OR  CATALITIC CONVERTER WHERE APPLICABLE MUST BE IN FULL WORKING CONDITIONS
