1936 Press Photo Jack Bach accused of the murder of truck driver Clifton Smith

This is an original press photo. "Truth though the heavens fall seems to be the motto of Jack Bach 14 year old son of James Bach who is accused here of the murder of Clifton Smith WPA Truck Driver before a packed courtroom at a preliminary hearing, young Jack sobbed out his testimony that his father had told him of his plant to Kill smith because of the latters illicit romance with Bach's wife. Jack's testimony will make him the state's star witness when the death penalty is asked for his father in Boone County Court in October. Photo measures 6.5 x 8.5 inches. Photo is dated 09-12-1936.
