We do a number of budget hand-held radios suitable for boatyards and other marine uses where users do not want a leisure style radio, but need one that can be programmed to OFCOM channels, but also be able to communicate to the types of radios fitted to boats. Things like telehandlers that might be launching or recovering vessels from slipways or dock areas. The users want very simple operation, solid and reliable construction and made to last. A few customers asked for well known brands, so we supplied these Icom IC-F3003 radios. 16 channel knob and a volume control. Stick it on a drop in charger overnight and that's it! They are built to IP54 and Mil-STD-810 standards.
All we need before you buy is the information on what frequencies are in use in your area. This could be port frequencies, or the other ship-ship or ship to shore channels, or the common OFCOM non-marine frequencies. You can have a single channel or up to 16 programmed in so they will be unique to you. For example, you could have 3 OFCOM business channels programmed - which can be legally licenced very cheaply, but also have channel 16 on the marine channel 16 for use in emergencies to call the coastguard.
Supplied on Marine channels 1 to 16 - but free programming to channels of your choice included.
Price includes Royal Mail Tracked delivery.
