This is an original press photo. Benigno Ramos, the absentee head of the Filipino Sakdalista Party who is believed responsible for stirring some of his followers to a bloody uprising in the Princes near Manila. Sixty Sakdalistas were killed by the local constabulary. Fearing another uprising the police on the island are patrolling their beats fully armed and ready for any eventuality. They seized many copies of the propaganda sheet "free the Philippines" circulated by Ramos allegedly from Tokyo. The Sakdalista Party is the "Red" Party of the Islands.Photo measures 5 x 7.25 inches.
