'1837 Jubilee 1887 / Victoria /D.G./Queen / of / an Empire on / Which the /Sun Never Sets'.

With a woven portrait of Queen Victoria, probably made after a photograph, and royal arms below. 

Bookmark has a pale silk background, with a white tassel at the bottom. 

It is attached along the top edge to a piece of burgundy fabric, probably silk. 

The item is signed 'T Stevens Coventry and London' on the reverse of the pointed end (see photo).

Whole object: 18.3 x 5.7cm. 

White woven section: 14 x 4.1cm.  

Condition: item is complete with backing fabric and tassel. Some age spotting has appeared on the white silk - visible in photographs - but overall condition is reasonable for the age and nature of the item.
