This is a mechanical, spring-activated timing chain tensioner for chain number 2 which is your #2 cam chain (cam phaser) timing chain.

This is brand new manufactured on 6/3/24.

This fits the 1GR-FE 4.0 Toyota engine (it may fit others). This fits 4th Gen 4Runners & Tacomas & others with the 1GR-FE engine.

I have worked on and torn into Toyota engines for years and kept mine running for 300,000+ miles. This is only possible by using genuine Toyota Aisin parts. 

Don't waste time opening up the timing chain cover only to save a few bucks with unproven, aftermarket parts.
