Vintage small sized sterling silver four slice wishbone style toast rack by Canadian silversmith William Maurice Carmichael, circa 1930-40’s.  Original patina.  Stamped “Sterling” with maker’s mark for William Maurice Carmichael from Victoria, B.C.  Carmichael is the only silversmith of note from British Columbia and was in business from 1920 to 1954.  Measures approximately 3 19/32” long x 2 3/16” wide x 3 1/4” tall and weighs 72.0 grams.  Would make a wonderful letter rack.
