What is an SDS+ (SDS-Plus) drill bit?
SDS is short for 'Slotted Drive Shaft' or 'Slotted Drive System' and refers to how the drill bit is chucked (i.e. fitted into the drill).
SDS+ (SDS-Plus) bits have two open grooves and two closed grooves on the shaft, which are attached to the drill by locking balls.
They are excellent at cutting through hard metals, such as stainless steel, iron, bronze and titanium. SDS-Plus drill bits are for high intensity or frequent drilling with a reduced risk of the drill bit breaking or wearing.
These SDS-Plus masonry drill bits feature a tungsten carbide tip designed for drilling into stone, concrete, and brick.
High specification and performance:
- Unique flute shape to ensure fast drilling and rapid waste removal.
- Suitable for masonry, brick, concrete, stone and other similar materials.
- 130 degree "Euro-norm" tip (tungsten carbide).
Materials:
- High grade steel with tungsten carbide tip.
Applications:
Suitable for both corded and cordless drills, these drill bits are specifically categorized for masonry applications.
The durable construction and specialized tip ensure efficient and precise drilling in tough materials, making it an essential tool for industrial and construction tasks.
