It wraps around to add insulation for splices and cable up to 1000V and to repair cable up to 35 kV, and it seals quickly when heat-activated with ordinary equipment such as a torch. The internal adhesive keeps moisture out thanks to its sturdy cross-linked polyolefin composition.3M™ Heat Shrink Cable Repair Sleeve HDCW offers excellent protection against mechanical stress. This wraparound sleeve with hot melt adhesive, forms a durable, moisture resistant seal. The cross linked polyolefin construction offers reliable performance in harsh environmental conditions.
