Regal Ware was a trade name for Albert G Richardson who began the business in 1920 but had financial difficulties culmination in voluntary liquidation in November 1924 (100 years ago).  The business actually continued as Regal Pottery Co.  This auction is for 6 fruit bowls in orange with fruit decorations around the edge and a gold border to the rim.  The mark on the base shows the pattern number A2959 Regal Ware - R (C) Ltd for Richardsons Coleridge Staffordshire.  There are no chips or cracks but the beginnings of crazing under magnification. They are 3.5cm deep and 14.5cm in diameter.
