HILTON HEAD REAR RANGE SC LIGHTHOUSE HARBOUR LIGHTS #552 "SOCIETY EXCLUSIVE"
This is a replica of the Hilton Head Rear Range lighthouse (HL#552) in South Carolina. HARBOUR LIGHTS introduced this “Society Exclusive” piece in 2005 and it was retired in April 2006. The piece I'm selling is edition #2400. The piece has fine detail and a nest on the roof of the tower top. It's approx. 8" tall x 6” long x 6" wide. The Rear Range Light, constructed of steel and cast iron, is a unique lighthouse that sits neatly on the picturesque Hilton Head Island at the Palmetto Dunes Resort & Golf Course. Golfers enjoying a peaceful day at the range drive right past this nautical monument on their way to the fifth and fifteenth greens. The Rear Range beacon was decommissioned in the 1930’s but the lighthouse is still in very good condition today. The Greenwood Development Corporation currently owns the lighthouse and it is kept in great repair for visitors to enjoy year round. Harbour Lights depicted this replica of the Rear Range beacon as it stands today.
