PART DETAILS:

Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensors (MAP) sense and signal the PCM of changes in atmospheric pressure and/or engine vacuum so the PCM can control fuel and ignition operation for varying engine load and altitude conditions. Typical failure signs are vehicle excessive fuel consumption, failed emissions test, engine misfire, decreased fuel efficiency, rough engine idle, decreased engine power, check engine light on, stalling engine or difficulty starting.
