This is an Estate Fresh vintage Painting from a local Estate home.  It is a BEAUTIFUL OIL on CANVAS LANDSCAPE MOUNTAIN PAINTING Possibly BEAR LAKE AREA UTAH by CHARLES " CHUCK " ENGEBRETSON well known Local Utah Artist.  Painting comes in Super nice condition as described above and Pictured.  This piece is framed at 23.75" tall x 38.5" wide in its original Frame.   It’s a beauty!!   The mountain setting looks appropriate for Utah.  The puzzle are the plants that look like Young Seguaro Cactus.  Yet if they are ( which I do not think so), the mountains where such cacti grow do not look like the mountains In Chucks Painting.   Since he is also a resident of Smithfield Utah, I am drawing the connection to that area, and the mountains look correct.  Its a really nice painting from a widely known artist.

Charles “Chuck” Engebretsonborn (1928-2017)  born on April 1st 1928 in a deserted bank building in Alkabo, North Dakota  Engebretson spent time in Ecuador, Colombia and the Bahamas, and prospered as a street artist in New Orleans where he painted the French Quarter and portraits of tourists. He painted a portrait of George Edward Kelly that hung in the private chambers of Kelly's niece, Princess Grace of Monaco, and paintings he did of the history of Louisiana were reproduced as a carpet in the state capital in Baton Rouge.  He has numerous portraits and paintings owned by the late Princess Grace of Monaco, Lady Nancy Oaks, Sir David Nobel, Sir William Bisson, sheik Isa Kaliffa of Bahrain and other notables too numerous to list; and 10 original oil paintings depicting ethnic, social and economic highlights of colorful and historical Brighton, Colorado.  "Over the years, I guess my paintings have gone all over the world," says Engebretson, who has received as much as ,50,000 for his artwork. "I've done over 8,000 landscapes, and over 4,000 portraits including formal oil paintings and all those pastels that I did in New Orleans."  Engebretson and Sharon, his wife of 28 years, moved to Smithfield Utah nearly 20 years ago, but up until recently the couple spent much of their time in Mexico where Charles owned his own gallery. Fluent in Spanish, Engebretson says he's very close with the people of the area, and enjoys the culture and the landscape.   Engebretson still did commission work, and enjoys painting local landscapes as well as agricultural scenes, particular at the Jensen Historical Farm.  He recently set up a studio in his garage complete with a billiards table, his second great passion where he can practice his craft year round.  "I've learned my trade," Engebretson says, "but I've never in my life set out to do a masterpiece.  "Maybe when I'm dead some promoter will get a hold of my work and convince somebody I'm a wonderful artist, but in the meantime, I'm just like anybody else. I do my work, try to be realistic about it and I keep my ego tucked in my back pocket as much as possible."
