Pair of antique Arts & Crafts 1920's Nickel over cast bronze wall sconces. This gorgeous pair of sconces is ornately cast with Fleur-de-lis, shells, original red design on the back plates and more. The are thick and solid, well made pieces that have been well cared for. The cast portion is solid cast bronze, they have Nickel plated over the bronze to get a beautiful look. You will see in the close ups that some of the Nickel is more shiny and other places have been left with a dark finish. The Fleur-de-lis ring around the candle cover is actually a removable ring that slides on for added detail. They are very high quality. They do have clicker switches, they have been denoted to use with wall switch.
This pair of sconces has been rewired with new sockets, tested for safety and are ready to hang. Please note they do have wear and age from the last 100 years of use. Overall condition is very nice, with age. In the last photo, I have arrows pointing to curves in the casting. They are split, however we think it is intentional since all four sides match with the splits. Please note that the sconces have some micro drips of paint that must have come from wall painting. They seem to be fairly hidden, as shown, when they are hung. Each sconce takes two candelabra (large) base light bulbs, up to 40 watts. Measurements: 12 1/2" tall with bulbs as shown 6" wide 4 1/2" projection from wall Please note: I have a matching chandelier to these sconces. https://www.ebay.com/itm/256717659112
