This antique vintage chromolithograph features a beautiful portrait of a boy and girl, by the artist Benjamin Franklin Reinhart. Looks like older sister sewing up little brother's pants.
The piece measures 17 inches in length and 14 inches in width, and is framed with antique wood frame. Frame is stained a reddish brown and painted gold on the interior.
Textured, no glass. Antique square head metal nails.
There is a signature on the back in pencil. I have not been able to identify whose signature it is. Last name looks like it could possibly be "Marrow". Maybe, "Ross W. N. Marrow". In pencil written on the back of the frame is the number 62 and what looks like an abbreviation for cents. 62¢?
From the Art Nouveau period (1880-1920) and is perfect for collectors of Americana art. The artwork is produced using the chromolithograph technique, in essence a lithograph with a texture, almost appearing as if it's an oil painting. This unique piece is a must-have for any art enthusiast.
