DESCRIPTION: Here is a mid 19th century Paris porcelain veilleuse teapot on a warming stand. The teapot and stand are hand painted with a band of colourful flowers. It has a tapered vessel that sits on the top of the stand and the bottom of the teapot is tapered to sit inside the vessel to make it more secure. Each piece is decorated with a green band that is gilt lined on each side. The base of the stand and teapot are marked with a red Sevres type interlaced L's and the makers initials JP or PI which I have not been able to find. Dates to circa 1860.

SIZE: The total height measures 22.5 cm high. The teapot measures 12 cm high and 16 cm at widest point. Weighs 1.002 kg before packing.

CONDITION: The Base is slightly dirty to one side of the base rim probably due to the burner. The tapered vessel has a small gilt touch up to the outer gilt rim. The teapot is in good condition. The lid has a small chip to the tip if the gilt apple leaf that has had a small touch up. The apple with a little gilt ware and the green band with one small paint loss. Otherwise very good condition for age.
