This wire harness adapter allows for a plug-and-play connection when replacing the factory BOSE® or Burmester® amplifier with an aftermarket version. This allows the existing body wiring for speakers and/or subwoofer to be retained.

The factory 12v power and ground wiring is not sufficient for most aftermarket amplifiers and adding separate power and ground wiring is recommended. The factory power/ground wiring can be used for accessories such as optical (MOST) adapters which have much lower power requirements. The power wire leads on the adapter are 14 AWG stranded copper.
