I have 3 of these vintage Syracuse China 8.25” soup bowls available. You are purchasing one, unless you choose otherwise. The front of each bowl has a thick yellow border following the scalloped edge of the plate. Directly on the edge is also a gilt gold border, as well as directly under the yellow block there is another gilt gold line. All 3 plates are marked with a crest or logo that has a Capital “G” on the top. Below this there is a profile of a knights head (wearing a Helmut). On either side of the knight’s head there are branches or swags. Under the knights head is a large crown that sits on a shield that is sectioned into quadrants with what looks like a dog in each quadrant. On the left side of the shield there is a standing lion, on the right there is a standing horse. The horse and lion are standing on a banner that reads “GRANADA”

    The Granada Golf Course is located in Coral Cables Florida, in Miami-Dade County, it first opened in 1923. The front of the bowls are identical, but the backs have some differences. Two of them are the same but the last has a different date stamp. Also, the bowls are 1.5” deep. I am not an expert at trying to figure out the exact year and months these were in production. I can tell you what I think and then give you copies of the paperwork I have been working with.

    All of the plates are marked Syracuse China. Two of them are marked with a “C” at the top, USA 90. From what I understand these two plates were made in 1961, possibly in March. The final plate was made in Feb. of 1964. Whoever gets to them first is welcome to their choice.
