Victorian era 1899, Assay In Birmingham, England by R.Bs Rolason Brothers.

Delightful English Victorian solid silver antique vesta case. Decorative foliate engraved pattern with a central cartouche monogrammed J.R. (possibly). Secure hinged lid closes nice and snug keeping matches safe and sound. The ribbed match striker runs the underside of the case.

Clear struck hallmarks to the rim assay to 1899 Rolason Brothers, Vyse Street, Birmingham, England.

Measures excluding loop: 5.2cm x 3.9cm x 1.4cm / weight: 28.80g approx.

• In good used antique condition. Light scratches, silver wear, small dinks commensurate to age. Lid closes snug and stays shut.
