NEC TOKIN tantalizer boards by RIP-FELIX for PS3 game consoles.
The boards with MLCC capacitors can be used on any model PS3 but they are normally used with the backwards compatible PS3 or any PS3 with the 90NM RSX processor.
Every PS3 has 8 TOKIN capacitors so you need 8 boards for a complete swap.
The CECH-2001 (any slim model that starts with 20) is the only model that has TOKINs and it is only on the RSX. This system will need 4.

CECHA is a PS3 model number, it also has 2 additional digits which represent the region code. Ie CECHA01 is a US CECHA console. PlayStation fat models go from A to P, some letters are skipped.
Any model up to CECHG ( A,B,C,E,G) should use the additional MLCC signal filtering capacitors. All other models, including the CECH-2000 slim do not need the additional capacitors but its fine to use them in any PS3.
Populated boards use high quality, low ESR, KEMET tantalum capacitors purchased from authorized distributors like Digi-key and Mouser. All boards are populated with additional MLCC capacitors for fat systems. Not used in boards with Slim capacitors.
Populated boards (Slim Capacitors) use Aluminum Polymer capacitors used in the PS3 slim. We verify proper operation and capacitance values before installing. If you want boards with the additional MLCC filtering caps please contact us.
Prices cheaper than this likely use cheap or fake tantalums with very high ESR ratings.
