4.65X6.25X30mm BGO Crystal Pixel. Each crystal pixel has one small face smooth polished, and the sides and other face are either polished or have one or more sides prefinished with a texture. Select the variation you prefer. They are used and may have small chips or cracks on the corners or edges. I'm always happy to refund or exchange your item.
BGO is a Premium Scintillator Material and guaranteed to work for radiation detection when coupled to a PMT and built into a probe. BGO is dense, with a specific density of 7.13 g/cm^3 that provides excellent stopping power for high energy photons. Much greater density than that of NaI(Tl) and is non-hygroscopic and safe to handle. Great for high-energy physics experiments. These crystals typically sell new at a price of $50 each.

Bismuth Germanate (BGO) is a high Z, high density scintillation material with chemical composition Bi4Ge3O12. Due to the high atomic number of bismuth (83) and its high density, BGO is a very efficient γ-ray absorber. BGO is a relatively hard, rugged, non-hygroscopic crystal which does not cleave. The material does not show any significant self-absorption of the scintillation light. The crystal housing can be simple since no hermetic sealing is required. The scintillation emission maximum of BGO is situated at 480nm.
