Incredible set of 5 Retro Cowboy Curtain valances. Woven Cotton Jacquard Western fabric from the 1940’s-1950’s.
The fabric was probably woven by Monument Mills Textile Company, in Great Barrington, MA. (1850-1955). It could also have been sold through the Bates Company.
Very thick woven cotton fabric in a Tan and Dark Brown Western design.
The design features a cowboy on a bucking horse amid cacti and corral fencing.
It's in remarkably good condition for its age. There is one small hole on one panel and a small faded ink spot on another panel. (see photo). Each panel measures approximately 14” x 45”
The bottom has a 3” hem. The top hem for the curtain rod is about 1 inch deep.
Each side end is the original selvage edge of the woven fabric.
Freshly hand washed and laid flat to dry.
