When I was a child more than 40+ years ago my father was in the antique jewelry business. 

From time to time he would come home with different treasures and occasionally he would let me "acquire" them!

Its a new old stock antique/vintage Gorgeous Brown Mottled Agate Hoop Stone.

It measures approx. 29.5 mm x 22.5 mm x 4.5 mm thick  (just under 1 1/4" x 1" x  1/8")
